The basic design concept of Biside is to make a biplane that can be set easily by any flyers who participate in the competition. The Biside consumed about 3,000mah to perform P-13 in my test flight as I considered the whole drag of the plane is not so big.In order to reduce the total weight of the biplane you should consider using small battery. The Biside, as it is flown in any circumstance of the world, was considered and designed to perform original performance at any circumstance.In consideration of my experience from the previous models such as, how the setting is changed in different weather conditions of the world, how each flyer sets the C/G by his/her favor. Biside was designed to perform its original performance at any circumstance. Biside shall be the biplane that you can get easy setting if you trim it according to the setting manual to be published together with the plane. I used the simplest motor mount in my test flight now am preparing simple soft motor mount.I changed the design of ventilation hole under the fuse to vent air faster and make some turbulence. The landing gear which causes irregular vortex was designed and made not to be affected by strut at any character of aerodynamics and any angle of attack. In addition to the above, the position of it was selected to reach constant spiral slip stream to the rudder without giving any effect to the spiral slip stream. I installed Neumotor as power source and Futaba 9100 ESC in my test plane.In my maiden flight I used APC 20*15 prop, maximum ampere was 65A and I consumed 2,700mah to perform P-13 under the windy circumstance. Main wing is fixed with 3mm x 50mm bolt to be possible to change the incidence of upper wing.The designed datum line can be maintained at any region in the world (lift power of main wing is changed by the region), even if the flyers (buyers) change their c/g by their favor, by adjusting the incidence of upper wing. A couple of struts of main wing whose incidence is different shall be included in the ARF kit. 2 pcs of JR DS 3401 mini servo was installed for aileron, if the servo is that that has exact neutral, 4kg torque shall be enough power. Of course 4 pcs of mini servo can be installed. DTFS wing whose performance has been proved was adopted as the geometry of the main wing but changed it in many parts to reduce the drag of the wing. But thin type of wing was not adopted, though many people tend to believe that thin wing has less drag, but not, if geometry of main wing has the better efficiency in the air, the less drag it has.Even though Biside has the wing whose thickness is two times as thick as other biplane’s, you shall surprise in your maiden flight of Biside that how lightly and speedy it flies. Whole drag of Biside is similar with that of Episode.Battery was installed in the highest position by considering side inertia of fuselage and c/g. It was installed 5s in each side of the fuse of test plane.The horizontal stab is full moving type and has anhedral.The center of pivot was positioned on the optimum location and cut back the tip to secure the stability of pitching and yawing in the turbulence. The torque of the servo used is enough at 4kg and general servos can be used without causing any problem in pitching as the length of servo/moment arm is longThe full moving stab shows you a very linear control follow suit which you may not experienced, the reason is.... The angle of attack of horizontal stab does not over 10 degrees in any F3A pitching maneuvers You do not need to use exp as a radius of leading edge of geometry of horizontal stab is big and neutral effect is dull, and as trim is not sensitive, separation develops when the angle of attack is over 12 degree. In any case of F3A maneuvers the tail wing does not stall, accordingly loop can be attained easily if you hold key constantly at certain level. When you make a inside loop, if you want to draw a loop as circle, put enough up elevator and then slowly restore the elevator, at the point of the restoration of loop again put enough elevator, loop can become real circle. But in a case of full moving if you make only power control and keep initial input up, the real circle loop is possible. General elevator, if angle of attack of tail wing is getting bigger, separation of air begins to develop, as the elevator is located behind the vortex of air linear follow suit is not made repeating follow suit of success and failure.
