I am very regretful to announce that production error happened in the first batch 30 pieces of Inspire 170 delivering with improper main wing incidence.and also apologize to the customers for inconvenience and trouble that was not properly detecting it in the factory manufacturing process, and giving extra job for fixing it.I hereby notice the method of correction with explanation of flight trimming of Inspire together. The designed setting: -2degree for down thrust, +0.5 degree for main wing incidence Wrong setting: -2degree for down thrust, -1 degree for main wing incidence In result, in order to correct it, you have to add +1.5 degree of main wing incidence with lower 4.4mm of rear anti-rotation pin for the first 30 delivered fuselage.

Wrong setting: -2degree for down thrust, -1 degree for main wing incidence
In result, in order to correct it, you have to add +1.5 degree of main wing incidence with lower 4.4mm of rear anti-rotation pin for the first 30 delivered fuselage.
The correction can be made by wing incidence setting jig which comes with the kit as followed by methods.1. The rear hole of anti-rotation pin should be corrected as shown on the picture below. 2. The wing bolt hole also should be corrected by jig.
3. Please make sure both main wing¡¯s incidence are set as +0.5 degree evenly. 4. After done with the above correction jobs, just do your test flying without fixing front anti-rotation pin.
5. Check the all flying performance (vertical up & down, Knife edge, reverse flight etc) until you satisfy.
6. Then, fix the both front anti-rotation pins onto the fuselage as the final.
<< Measuring the incidence >>
Inspire has big dihedral in its main wing and anhedral in its stab, so it might be difficult for you to measure the exact incidence with your own incidence meter. Please use 2~3 incidence meter at the same time to get more precision measuring value if you are available. Big difference shall be resulted if you do not parallel the meter with mean datum line of fuselage when you measure the incidence (especially stab), so please set your plane datum line correctly with -2 degree of down thrust level.
<<Knife edge flight setting>>
When the plane shows pitch up (pull to canopy) in knife edge flight, you have to increase the main wing incidence, in case pitch down (pull to belly) you can correct it reducing incidence of main wing.
The model plane flight performance are always got influenced from (especially altitude) the air temperature & density, humidity, and gravity etc. and the factory setting is the only for the standard setting.
So, you have to find your own best position of the wing incidence and CG with several test flying
in accordance with your local climate condition. For more detailed setting refer to following link. BJ CRAFT BJ PARKHow to set adjuster !Please set the wing adjuster jig as shown on the pic#1.
The jig hole length is 12.5mm and you have to enlarge your fuselage hole 4.4mm more.
New 4.4mm lower hole can give you +1.5degree so you can get +0.5degree correct wing incidence. The hole length of incidence adjuster is 16mm as shown on the pic #2.Its adjustable range is 3 degree from -1.5 to +1.5 degree Make the length of hole 16mm moving the jig as shown on pic #3.(The incidence hole in serial No 1~30 of Inspire shall only be lowered to 16mm by error of setting jig in factory.) Glue it with thin CA as shown on pic #4, If CA fills up 3mm hole, open it up with 3mm tapping.
There is notch on the adjuster, fix FRP part with 3mm bolt to became the same level of both side and then fix 8mm carbon pipe with CA. When you fix them, connect the main wing and fix the wing bolt, adjust main wing and fuse to match tightly then glue it temporary with a bit CA. After that disconnect main wing and loosen 3mm bolt, then at loose state fix with CA permanently. Completed state Pic #7 shows 6mm, but lower 4.4-5mm from the top of wrong hole. Exact one is 4.4mm, factory setting is only for starting point it changes depending on the conditions.so 5mm is no issue for maiden flight. Pic #8 shows to measure down thrust by incidence meter.
